Ministry, with clear boundaries

Scope of practice

Draft for founder and legal review — not yet an approved policy. Unresolved business terms are explicitly marked below; no effective date has been assigned.

Faith-centered coaching and ministry

Rivers of Refreshing offers supportive, faith-centered conversations about values, relationships, personal goals and spiritual reflection. Prayer or Scripture may be part of a mutually agreed ministry conversation. Participation is voluntary; ask questions or decline any spiritual activity. No miraculous result, relationship restoration or healing outcome is promised.

What this is not

Ministry coaching is not licensed professional counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatry or medical care. It does not diagnose mental illness, treat trauma or provide medication advice. Words such as “counseling,” “inner healing” and “trauma-informed support” on this website must not be read as a claim of clinical licensure or regulated treatment. Do not stop treatment or change medication based on ministry content; consult a qualified clinician.

Qualifications and affiliations

Kassie is identified as a Certified Christian Life Coach. Building Bridges Ministry is a founder-described affiliation, not a claim of institutional endorsement or clinical licensure. Only proof-verified, owner-approved credentials may be displayed as completed. No completed Splankna certification is represented. Lorenzo’s biography and specific qualifications await approved source information.

Marriage and premarital conversations

Support may explore communication, values, expectations, money, conflict and faith without diagnosing anyone or promising restoration. Where violence, intimidation or coercive control is present, specialist domestic violence safety support takes priority; joint coaching should not be assumed safe or suitable.

Choosing appropriate care

If you need assessment, clinical treatment or medical advice, contact a licensed mental health professional or medical provider. Ministry may be complementary only when appropriate and must not replace necessary care. Suitability and referral options should be discussed directly; referral availability is not guaranteed.

Consent and privacy limitations

Before scheduling, acknowledge these boundaries, read the Privacy policy and understand that the ministry is not a crisis service. This acknowledgment is not a clinical intake form, treatment consent or waiver of rights. Before actual services begin, request the full service-specific consent and confirmed policies. Do not assume clinical confidentiality or legal privilege applies to a general website inquiry.

Children and unresolved policies

Potential services for children remain pending founder policy and consent confirmation. No child intake or scheduling is provided here. Fees, cancellation terms, meeting arrangements and confidentiality policies must be confirmed before participation.

Crisis and immediate safety

In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, text HOME to 741741 for Crisis Text Line, or call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) for the National Domestic Violence Hotline. In immediate danger call 911. This website and ministry inquiries are not monitored for emergencies.
